Using this website
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That matters to us particularly, because the people who use it include the families of those we support, professionals making referrals, and people looking for work with us.
You should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
- Zoom in up to 400 per cent without text disappearing off the screen
- Navigate the whole website using a keyboard
- Use the website with a screen reader
- Use the website on a phone or tablet as well as a computer

How accessible this website is
We believe this website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. Partially conformant means some parts do not fully meet the standard. We have listed what we know about below.
We have not yet commissioned a formal independent audit, so there may be problems we are not aware of. We would rather tell you that than claim more than we can evidence.
Known problems
- The map on our Contact page is provided by OpenStreetMap and we do not control how accessible it is. The full address is written out next to it, so you never need to use the map to find us.
- Our brochure is a PDF. It may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need the information in it in another format, contact us and we will provide it.
- Photograph descriptions vary. Photographs in our home galleries currently carry basic descriptions rather than detailed ones. We are improving these as we add new photographs.
- Background photographs on some sections stay fixed as you scroll on desktop. This is switched off automatically if you have asked your device to reduce motion.

We are committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. Although those regulations apply to public sector bodies rather than to us, we have chosen to follow the same standard.
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA because of the problems listed above.
What we are doing to improve
We check colour contrast against the AA standard whenever we change the design, we test the site with a keyboard alone, and we review new photographs and documents as they are added. We plan to commission an independent audit.
